St. Olcese

St. Olcese was the Bishop in Gaul (modern France) in the late fourth century and the early fifth century. Olcese fled to Italy when Gaul was invaded by Vandals. The area he fled to in Italy is known today as Sant’Olcese. He lived a prayerful life of a hermit and worked in the village converting souls and performing miracles.
